The Chi Theta Chapter 55th Anniversary
It is with great honor and humility that we present the Chi Theta Forever Foundation. The official foundation that will serve as a vehicle to further exert Chi Theta’s essence of service and impact, both internally as a brotherhood and externally to the Tallahassee and neighboring communities.
The Chi Theta Forever Foundation was born from a vision that had lived in the hearts of many for decades, creating a dedicated platform to extend Chi Theta’s legacy of service, scholarship, and impact beyond the walls of Florida State University and into the greater Tallahassee community. For years, brothers spoke of the need for such an entity, but it was the conviction and perseverance of Bro. Luc Poliard (1-2016) and Bro. Isaiah Fleming (1-2017) that transformed long discussions into reality. Over the course of eighteen months, they worked tirelessly to take the Foundation from concept to creationlaying the groundwork for what is now a long-overdue and essential extension of the Mighty Mighty Chi Theta Chapter.
Both founders share a deep connection that predates their initiation into the Chi Theta Chapter. As interests, the two took a strong regard for the legacy of the Mighty Mighty, as well as a conviction for advancing that legacy with their service as brothers within the fold. Their brotherhood, strengthened by a common commitment to the chapter’s legacy, fueled their determination to build something greater. Observing how peer organizations leveraged alumni-backed foundations to fund programs, expand outreach, and create large-scale impact, they recognized that Chi Theta deserved the same. Through vision, strategy, and persistence, they positioned Chi Theta Forever Foundation to be a powerful vehicle for advancing our mission.
The Foundation now serves as a home for empowering students, through scholarships and mentorship, supporting brothers in times of need, preserving our history through celebration and storytelling, and elevating our presence through community service and philanthropic engagement. The conviction to earnestly honor and represent our chapter’s heritage and civic contributions, such as this 55th Anniversary of Excellence was undisputed. But, this moment was not by the hands of the two, Bro. Poliard and Bro. Fleming alone. To the few who spent hours professing duty, revising charters, filling out paperwork, and instilling the enthusiasm to see this through, the Mighty Mighty Chi Theta chapter is truly indebted. To the inaugural executive board, thank you for your commitment to serving and bolstering who we are. Though we have done much, there is always more work to do! We are so excited to see what this entity will grant us the ability to accomplish, but we cannot do it without every single brother who bears “XΘ” on their shoulder. Thank you for showing up in the ways we know you will. Thank you for being Chi Theta Forever!
